Korean BBQ and Soju - Seoul style!

Chingu BBQ & Soju Bar is a Korean restaurant focused on Korean BBQ and social dining, an interactive dining experience where guests grill ingredients right at the table. The restaurant blends traditional Korean flavors with a modern twist, and the drinks list naturally includes various types of soju, a Korean spirit traditionally enjoyed in small shot glasses with food. Chingu says they aim to be a welcoming, family-style meeting place where people can have fun and share their stories over sizzling grills. “Chingu” means “friend,” so become a “Seoulmate” on their website to access exclusive perks and tasty offers. For sure a long-awaited concept where we’ll want to try just about everything on the menu.

We haven’t worked with Perfecta on our previous openings, but we’re very pleased with this collaboration for Chingu. Micke has been available and great to bounce ideas off throughout the project.

the equipment

Perfecta´s delivery

We were entrusted with supplying the furnishings and equipment for the restaurant across three floors. On the ground floor you’ll find the bar, featuring a custom rounded stainless-steel bar fit-out and refrigerated counters from Haglund Industri. This level also includes a compact dish area with a Wexiödisk dishwasher and an ice room. One floor up is the dining room, which has a servery with a millwork-clad refrigerated counter and a water station, plus a dry-aging cabinet for meat and a wine fridge from Meatico. In the open kitchen: an induction range from Fribergs, fryers from FriFri, an oven from Rational, and refrigerated counters from Haglund Industri, with Stayhot heat lamps. The dish area here includes a Wexiödisk WD4 glasswasher and a WD6. In the basement are the prep kitchen and the pot-wash area.

Can a wine cooler be built into a bar counter or custom joinery?

Yes, many models are designed for built-in installation with front ventilation. We also offer custom solutions with stainless-steel fronts or custom finishes.
