about the project
Comeback with Sayans popular izakaya
Sayan Isaksson was one of the first in Stockholm to introduce a Japanese izakaya as early as 2015, when the original Shibumi — meaning effortless perfection — opened. After a successful pop-up comeback at Röda Huset, the concept has now moved into its own premises just a short distance away on the same street, featuring a large bar, seating for 60 guests, and a record player spinning great vinyl. The menu is a take on modern izakaya cuisine, where old classics sit alongside new creations. In addition to the regular menu, there are always nightly specials written on the board. There are also 20 seats available for walk-ins every evening.

Perfecta´s delivery
For Shibumi, we delivered refrigerated counters from Haglund Industri for the bar — both classic stainless steel models and units prepared to be clad in warm-toned mirrored sheet metal. We also supplied glass frosters placed on the countertop, as well as stainless steel wells integrated into the bar’s stone worktop.
The kitchen was delivered by us on a previous occasion, as it is also used by Spesso, which is located in the same building on the top floor.
