Local ingredients and sustainable gastronomy

On the Bjäre Peninsula in Skåne, between Båstad and Torekov, lies Thora Vingård, founded in 2014 by Heather and Johan Öberg. The vineyard has quickly developed into one of Sweden’s most ambitious wine producers. Here, grapes such as Solaris, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Chenin Blanc are grown in a coastal climate where sea breezes, limestone-rich soil, and long summer days create excellent conditions for viticulture. The estate operates organically, with a strong focus on sustainability and craftsmanship. The property also features an architect-designed winery offering wine tastings and guided tours, a farm shop, and Restaurant Flora, which opened in 2024 with views over the vineyard and the sea. At Flora, the focus is on local seasonal ingredients, sustainable gastronomy with several fully plant-based options, and warm, personal hospitality where every guest should feel genuinely well taken care of.

For more than a year of planning ahead of the opening of Restaurant Flora at Thora Vineyard, the focus was on sustainability, locally produced ingredients, and close collaborations. Choosing Perfecta was an obvious decision from the very beginning. The planning and design of the kitchen were extremely important, as the contact with the guests could not be lost. Great attention was paid to details in the design, material choices, sound levels, and logistics, all of which had to be at the highest standard. With the finished result and a restaurant that functions very well, we can only thank you for a sustainable and very well-executed collaboration.

For the dining room and farm shop, wine coolers from Haglund Industri were supplied, who also produced all refrigerated counters and the blast chiller. In the kitchen, Electrolux combi ovens were installed along with a cooking line featuring induction hobs and a salamander, a Fribergs griddle and cast iron range, a Getinge Mini tilting kettle, as well as a cold room and Gemm refrigerators from Coolpart. At the pass, warming cabinets with sliding doors from Gastroteknik and heat lamps from Stayhot were installed. All stainless steel fittings were supplied by Costilla. The espresso machine and grinder are from Simonelli, and the filter coffee brewer from Bonamat. In the dishwashing area, a Wexiödisk WD7 hood-type dishwasher was installed, and for the glassware an undercounter Winterhalter Excellence I dishwasher with reverse osmosis ensures spotless, polish-free glasses.

Yes, many models are designed for built-in installation with front ventilation. We also offer custom solutions with stainless-steel fronts or custom finishes.
