Team Sweden prepares for the European Championship in cooking

On March 15–16, 2026, the European Championship in cooking, Bocuse d’Or Europe, will take place in Marseille. Sweden’s Bocuse d’Or team consists of candidate Ludwig Tjörnemo, Emilia Björklund as commis, and Jimmi Eriksson as coach. The ten best countries from the European Championship will then advance to the world final in Lyon in January 2027, where the world’s top chefs compete for the most prestigious medals in gastronomy.

Ludwig Tjörnemo secured his place as the Swedish candidate after winning Bocuse d’Or Sweden 2025. He is an experienced competition chef with more than ten years of experience. Among his achievements are winning Chef of the Year (Årets Kock), earning a gold medal at the Culinary Olympics with the Junior National Culinary Team, and serving as team captain for the Swedish National Culinary Team.

By his side is Emilia Björklund, 19, who has already made a strong impression in competitions at a young age. She has won both Årets Kockelev and Årets Kockelever and has completed internships at restaurants such as Ekstedt and Portal.

Returning as coach is Jimmi Eriksson, rejoining the Bocuse d’Or team with experience both as a former Swedish candidate (2022–2023) and as one of Sweden’s most accomplished competition chefs. His achievements include victories in Chef of the Year, the Nordic Championships, and the Global Chef Challenge.

Perfecta is once again a proud partner of Team Sweden and will be present in Marseille to show our support for Ludwig and the team. Go Sweden!
